Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka is a British-American sitarist and musician. She was the youngest and first female to win an award from the British House of Commons Shield she's had 9 Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian origin to perform live in concert and serve as a presenter at the awards ceremony. Anoushka Shakar, a young emerging superstar on the Indian Sitar is Anoushka. She is a student and sister of Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982, and was a young girl who travelled back and forth between London in London and New Delhi. In New Delhi, she made her debut at just thirteen years old. After moving to Encinitas, the state of California, in 1999 she earned the high-school certificate. Anouskha is an aspiring young lady, nevertheless, she has an remarkable career in the field of recording and performing. Since quite some time, she has been performing regularly with her father. She released her debut single album Anourag in 1998. A year later, she dropped the Grammy nominated Live in Carnegie Hall. The stage is a very significant part of her work. She has performed in a variety of important venues across the world. Anoushka isn't just a musician. In 2002, she wrote an autobiography titled Bapi The of My Life. of My Live this is an illustrated biography that gives a special respect to her dad Ravi Shankar. The year 2003 saw her starred in Dance Like a Man as a Bharat Natyam artist. Anoushka continues to grow on her path and there will be many more things to come from this talented woman. Anoushka Shankar is an English native who lived her early days split between London, Delhi and California. She started learning to play the guitar when she was nine years old and performed on the sitar in celebration of the 75th anniversary the birth of her father in Delhi four years later. Anoushka was a part of her father throughout his global tour, gained an incredible amount of experience. In her teenage years she played in Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and even recorded with George Harrison. Her musicianship and talent have been acknowledged by the British parliament as among the finest of the best in Asian Arts.
